Geometry

How to Build a GRE Quant Formula Sheet

Keep your formula sheet compact. Group formulas by topic and add a short note describing when each one is used. If a formula is repeatedly forgotten, pair it with one worked example rather than copying the formula again.

  • Group formulas under Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, and Data Analysis.
  • Add one example trigger beside difficult formulas.
  • Remove formulas that have become automatic.
  • Mark formulas that are frequently confused with similar ones.
  • Review the sheet before mixed practice, not during every question.

  2. Revise the relevant concepts and essential formulas.
  3. Solve a small set without checking solutions immediately.

  5. Redo missed questions using the correct method.
  6. Return to the same weak skill after a short interval.

The aim is not to collect formulas. The aim is to recognise the problem structure quickly and choose a reliable method.

How to Review GRE Quant Mistakes

Maintain a short error log with the topic, the step that failed, the correct method, and one note about what to notice next time. If the same mistake repeats, practise simpler examples before returning to harder mixed questions.

Separate formula-recall problems from reasoning problems. Forgetting a formula requires targeted review, while choosing the wrong formula often means the question structure was not understood correctly.

Build a Balanced Weekly Quant Plan
