Does EWS Receive Age Relaxation?
EWS reservation does not automatically provide a separate upper-age relaxation unless such relaxation is specifically stated in the notification. An EWS candidate should normally apply the unreserved age limit while claiming EWS reservation with a valid certificate.
OBC Age Relaxation Requirements
An eligible OBC candidate generally receives three years of relaxation in the upper-age limit. The candidate must belong to the permitted non-creamy-layer category and possess the required certificate in the prescribed format and validity period.
Merely belonging to an OBC community in a state list does not automatically establish eligibility for Central Government OBC reservation. The candidate should verify inclusion in the relevant Central List and all certificate requirements.
SC/ST Age Relaxation
Eligible Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates generally receive five years of relaxation in the upper-age limit. The claim must be supported by a valid certificate issued by the competent authority.
